A 14-year-old boy is telling police that he was kidnapped just steps from his house.
it was only a few hundred feet from his home where the boy was apparently held as a prisoner.
Both the teen and his mother’s identity are being protected.
The 14-year-old, according to police, was taken Monday afternoon as he was walking home from his bus stop.
St. Louis Alderman Sam Moore says the boy was jumped from behind in an alley and dragged into an abandoned building.
Trapped in a filthy room for an hour, the attacker was apparently frustrated by repeated cell phone calls from the boy’s mother; he left after an hour leaving the boy to run home.
The teen says the man, last chased him through this neighborhood in January.
Alderman Moore believes the man lives in the area’s abandoned buildings.
Police say the suspect is described as about 45 to 50-years-old, six feet to six feet three inches tall, about 170 pounds, and wearing a black baseball cap with a turquoise bill.
The 14-year-old is doing well. He wasn’t hurt, but was traumatized by what happened.
